DESCRIPTION
Lower Manhattan New York Presbyterian Hospital
Kitchen transformation to Room Service
Kitchen transformation to Room Service
This project reconfigured the kitchen in the basement of Lower Manhattan Hospital. The cooking stations were reconfigured with the addition of new equipment. This project preceded the Weill Cornell Kitchen but was done with the same consultants. This project was decanted and phased where the existing kitchen was relocated to a trailer while construction was underway. In addition, asbestos was discovered in the kitchen during a concurrent electrical upgrade and needed to be mitigated during construction. Despite these obstacles, the project came in on time and on schedule. The additional costs involved was covered by $100,000 saved from the Weill Cornell project.
