The Center consists of two 5-story classroom buildings straddling Cambridge Street just off of Harvard Yard, approximately 225,000 sf. In addition to classrooms and seminar rooms, there are faculty offices, a library, lounges both formal and informal for faculty student collaborations and a cafeteria. About half the building is located below grade. Consequently, considerable design effort went into bringing light to all of the spaces and how to create areas throughout the building where students and faculty could collaborate both formally and informally. Consulting on the interiors included participating in the selection of finishes and furniture.
